Casein - Things Learned while reading "The Hound of the Baskervilles" - Sherlock Holmes

He said that there were no traces upon the ground round the body. He did not observe any. But I did -- some little distance off, but fresh and clear."

"Mr. Holmes, they were the footprints of a gigantic hound!"


Side note in our book says, Today, police photograph footprints and often auto tracks, or jimmy marks.  They also make casts using plaster, casein, or other materials.
