Was Adam alive when Enoch was?

Genesis 5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own alikeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

Genesis 5:6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

Genesis 5:9  And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

Genesis 5:12  And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:

Genesis 5:15  And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

Genesis 5:18  And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

Genesis 5:21  And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:  

Adam lived 930 years
Adam was 130 when he had Seth
Seth was 105 when he had Enos (Adam was 235)
Enos was 90 when he had Cainan (Adam was 325)
Canan was 70 when he had Mahaleleel (Adam was 395)
Malaleel was 65 when he had Jared (Adam was 460)
Jared was 162 when he had Enoch (Adam was 622)
Enoch was 65 when he had Methuselah (Adam was 687)

Yes, Adam was 622 when Enoch was born, and 687 when Enoch had Methuselah.  Adam lived to be 930.

Enoch 32, 33

Enoch 32 - Enoch sees animals and stars.  He counts the stars.

Enoch 36 - He sees 3 gates of heaven, out of which blow the northern winds with rain, hail, snow, frost, etc..  He travels around and sees more groups of 3 gates.  There were smaller gates that the stars of heaven passed on through.

The Book of Enoch Chapter 31, Tamarind Trees

Enoch sees more trees including the tree of knowledge that Adam and Eve ate from just before being cast out of the garden of Eden.

"The tree of knowledge also was there, of which if any one eats, he becomes endowed with great wisdom. It was like a species of the tamarind tree, bearing fruit which resembled grapes extremely fine."

Enoch 27 - 30

Enoch sees all kinds of trees in various places.

Enoch 25, 26

Enoch sees mountains and a deep narrow valley.  He asks what it means and learns it is the place prepared for those who speak evil of God.  He praises God.

Enoch 24

Enoch sees a mountain of fire, and as he approaches he sees that it is really 7 mountains.  3 are strengthened by being places one on another in the south, and 3 are on each other in the East and 1 in the midst.  They are made of jewels.  Together the mountains resembled the seat of a throne.  Enoch learns from his guide, Michael, that God will reign the throne when he comes to visit the earth with goodness.

Enoch smells the trees that grow around the mountains and thinks their odor is very pleasant, even so pleasant that it seems better than any tree in the garden of Eden.  "Its fruit resembled the cluster of the palm."

He asks Michael about it and is told it is the fruit prepared for the elect.  No one can touch the fruit until the time of great judgement.   Those who are not elect will receive a punishment.  The elect will have this fruit.  They will rejoice in the Holy One.  The smell of the fruit will enter into their bones and they will live a long life without sorrow, distress or trouble.

Enoch praised the Lord because he prepared this tree for the saints.

Enoch 23

Continuing Enoch's vision, he goes to the West and sees a blazing fire that never stops running along.  He asks his guide, the angel Raguel, and is told it is " that of all the luminaries of heaven."

Enoch 22

Enoch sees four delightful places that were formed for the spirits of the dead to be collected until the day of judgment.   Enoch asks the angel Raphael, who is with him, "Whose spirit is that, the voice of which reaches to heaven, and accuses?"  Raphael says it is Abel and he will keep accusing until all of Cain's seed are off the earth.  Enoch sees that the dead are in 4 different places based on their righteousness or lack thereof.

Enoch 19, 20, 21

Enoch sees hell where the wicked are bound.

²And there I beheld neither the tremendous workmanship of an exalted heaven, nor of an established earth, but a desolate spot, prepared, and terrific.
³There, too, I beheld seven stars of heaven bound in it together, like great mountains, and like a blazing fire.

(Moses 6:29)

and a hell I have prepared for them, if they repent not

Enoch 16, 17, 18

16 - God continues to tell Enoch how wicked the watchers were.  Because their hearts were in the wrong place when they told the secrets of heaven to the women, they will never know peace.
 17 & 18 - Enoch is taken to various locations of creation.  He is shown the location the wicked will be cast out to.  It has no earth beneath, or heaven above and is just a place of nothing.
The watchers are in trouble partly because they did things out of order.  

 ¹⁶The stars which roll over fire are those which transgressed the commandment of God before their time arrived; for they came not in their proper season.

Perhaps the information they gave to the women should have been given to women, but not then.

Enoch 15

Enoch continues to describe his vision.  God tells him not to be afraid (a common beginning to a vision).  Enoch is told to tell the watchers that they will not gain eternal life, they were wrong to marry women, and they should have been praying for men, not asking men to pray for them.

Enoch 14

Enoch describes the vision he had.  He lets the watchers know that nothing in the paper he wrote for them will happen.  That they will see their seed die and never be saved.  Enoch, in his dream, came to a habitation made of crystal stones.  Then he saw a second one that was huge.  He saw a throne that appeared like frost but also like the sun.  He understood that God was on the throne, but knew that no one could look upon him because he had so much glory.  Enoch had a veil over his face.  God commands him to come.  He is compelled forward and raised up.

This description of God in His Glory on his throne is very well put.

17Attentively I surveyed it, and saw that it contained an exalted throne;
¹⁸The appearance of which was like that of frost; while its circumference resembled the orb of the brilliant sun; and there was the voice of the cherubim.
¹⁹From underneath this mighty throne rivers of flaming fire issued.
²⁰To look upon it was impossible.
²¹One great in glory sat upon it:
²²Whose robe was brighter than the sun, and whiter than snow.
²³No angel was capable of penetrating to view the face of Him, the Glorious and the Effulgent; nor could any mortal behold Him. A fire was flaming around Him.
²⁴A fire also of great extent continued to rise up before Him; so that not one of those who surrounded Him was capable of approaching Him, among the myriads of myriads ⁽²²⁾ who were before Him. To Him holy consultation was needless. Yet did not the sanctified, who were near Him, depart far from Him either by night or by day; nor were they removed from Him. I also was so far advanced, with a veil on my face, and trembling. Then the Lord with his own mouth called me, saying, Approach hither, Enoch, at my holy word.
 

Enoch 13

Enoch comes out of hiding and speaks to Azazyel.  He tells him he will be bound and not saved.  Then he spoke to all the "watchers" (the evil ones).  They were all afraid and asked Enoch to write a " memorial of supplication" for them to God, since they could not talk to Him anymore because of their wickedness.  Enoch writes it and goes on a journey.  While on the way he has a dream.

Enoch 13:9 I fell down and saw a vision of punishment, that I might relate it to the sons of heaven, and reprove them.

He heads back and begins to reprove them.

Enoch 12

In this chapter we learn that it is Enoch that is in hiding. While hiding, he is taught of the Lord by angels.  He is now called Enoch the scribe.

More notes on the Book of Enoch

So the angels went and found wives and they had children.  The children became a race of giants 300 cubits tall!  -This seems really odd!  Dinosaurs?
The angels (they must be the devil's angels) taught their wives sorcery.  Then they, or the race of giants, taught all men all kinds of wickedness.

^{Enoch 9:5}You have seen what Azazyel has done, how he has taught every species of iniquity upon earth, and has disclosed to the world all the secret things which are done in the heavens.

The giants needed to eat so much they were hard to feed so they started to eat men and animals.  The men cry out to the gate of Heaven to God.  They ask what to do and praise the Lord.  Several angels notice.

^{Enoch 9:1}Then Michael and Gabriel, Raphael, Suryal, and Uriel, looked down from heaven

God responded and sent Uriel the Angel.  Uriel said to hide.  He said soon God would send a flood to clean the earth but he would preserve some seed of men.  God told Raphael to bind and cast out Azazyel.  He told Gabriel to destroy the Giants by having them kill each other off.  He told Michael to go announce Azazyel's crime.  God says he will fix it all and restore the earth to a pure state.

Notes from the Book of Enoch

From this book of Enoch:
Some angels looked down on the beautiful daughters of man and said they would go down and marry them.
- This seems odd.
Their leader, Samyaza, says, you are not to do this, and I will get blamed.  They reject that and swear on the top of Mt. Aromon that they will not be dissuaded from their plan.  Thus the mountain is called, Armon or Hermon, from the Hebrew word herem, a curse.

3 Books of Enoch

There are 3 books purporting to be the books of Enoch.  They are pseudepigrapha, meaning they are written under an assumed name and written long after the supposed author.  However, they may contain some truths.

Jude quotes from the Book of Enoch,

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
