The Destiny of the Sword of Laban

What!?! Aparently, according to Brigham Young's account of Oliver Cowdery's statements, when Oliver and Joseph Smith returned the plates they took them into a cave inside the Hill Cumorah and set them on a table. The room was filled with plates, more than could fit in several wagon loads. Later when they visited the room the sword of Laban was unsheathed and laying on top of the plates. Writing on the sword said,
"'This sword will never be sheathed again until the kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of our God and his Christ."
Wow.
